In Celebration of Celebration

Shoot, y’all.

Life is hard sometimes…

And thank goodness for that!

Lately, I’ve been living in celebration for ALL that life has to offer.

For the ups and downs, the challenges and triumphs. I’ve been carving more space out in my life to just BE in celebration, because life is sometimes hard, yet I’m still here!

And so are you.

Isn’t it a miracle?!

So today, I celebrate all of the wins, all of the victories, all of the new muscles I have built over the year as I have moved through each obstacle that has come my way.

It’s important to make space to celebrate what we have come through! If we don’t create these mile stones throughout our lives, the whole thing just becomes one big, hurried blur. In Western culture, I’ve noticed a tendency to jump from one task on the to-do list of life to the next, without so much as a breath between.

How can we integrate what we have learned if we don’t pause to do so? How can we truly know a sense of accomplishment if we are constantly running on a hamster wheel, chasing the next big thing that is supposed to bring peace, joy, and fulfillment? How can we create a true sense of abundance and purpose if we never give ourselves the opportunity to recognize the finish lines crossed?

Listen, I don’t know about you, but in my experience, it’s not possible.

If I don’t give myself pause for integration, or moments of self celebration and appreciation, I inevitably end up working myself into a state of burnout. Here, I’m not feeling happy or fulfilled, and I’m definitely not having fun! It’s like, no matter what I do, it is never enough.

Ummm, NO THANK YOU!

There will always be a to-do list. As humans, the work is never done! Whether it be intellectual work, physical work, emotional or spiritual work, we are designed to constantly evolve. The work is NEVER done. So I might as well enjoy myself while I’m on this ride. Might as well stop to smell the roses I’ve planted from time to time! It’s possible I may just learn a thing or two along the way…

Life is hard sometimes…

And thank goodness for that!
