Meet Caitlin
Hi! I’m Caitlin, and I’m so glad you have found your way to my site, because this means you are seeking support on your healing journey. I am a Holistic Health Practitioner, specializing in Clinical Western Herbalism and EFT, also known as Tapping.
I live in Austin, TX, where I love to go on bike rides to the local cafes and shops in my area, take frigid dips in Barton Springs pool when it’s hot out (about 75% of the time,) and enjoy the live music and arts of the city. I am passionate about living in an environmentally conscious way & producing minimal waste, and I love doing DIY crafting & upcycling projects!
I also care deeply about the healing process. I have made it my life’s purpose to serve as a guide for others who need support along their journey. I believe that we heal more fully when we heal together.
My life feels balanced and peaceful now, but it wasn’t always this way. I struggled for years with low self esteem, self-hatred, anxiety, depression, and a disordered relationship with my body and food. I knew I needed a major shift in my life, but I didn’t want to go the conventional allopathic route. So I embarked on a journey to heal myself, naturally and holistically.
I studied with the Wildflower School of Botanical Medicine, completing the program in Clinical Herbalism, and applied the principles of holistic nutrition and herbal support I had learned to my own life. Through this practice, I successfully healed many of the issues that had been ailing me for years: digestive disturbances, trouble with cravings, severe bouts of depression and anxiety, acne, hormonal imbalances and cycle dis-regularities. But the journey didn’t end there.
Through my personal healing work, I began to notice that so many of these symptoms had roots in beliefs about myself and the world. It became clear to me that, in order to fully heal, I needed to go to the source of my trauma. I sought out a solution, and found EFT.
Within a few months, my life was completely different. The more I practiced this technique, the more clear headed I felt. The more clear headed I felt, the more energy I recovered. I started to love the body I had now, instead of trying to change it. I began to treat the people in my life better, because I was better able to love and care for myself. Over the course of a few years, I went from being perpetually broke, anxiety ridden, and angrily self-isolating, to being financially stable, calm, and surrounded by a supportive community.
I became a practitioner because I wanted to help the people that were hurting like I had hurt for so long. Since childhood, I have been sensitive to the suffering of others. I used to want to take away the pain of those suffering around me. Now, through my own healing process, I have come to understand that our pains, stresses, and fears are our most powerful allies. They provide us with the information that we need to move through our issues, and into Whole Health. It brings me joy to help others connect with their pains and stresses in a constructive way that leads to a greater sense of wellness and vitality.
I am still on this journey of Whole Health. As far as I can tell, this is a lifelong path. I hope you will join me in walking it!
